The Kirtland Public Library is a Food Drop Off Location for Feed Lake County, the United Way of Lake County’s annual food drive to support the approximately 40 food pantries in the county. Hunger can affect people from all walks of life – many people are just one job loss, missed paycheck, medical emergency or unexpected expense away from hunger. Most needed items: Canned Meats (tuna, chicken, ham, Spam), pancake mix, syrup, cereal, powdered milk, canned chili and stew, canned fruits and vegetables, spaghetti sauce and pasta, canned pasta with meat sauce, peanut butter & jelly, canned and boxed soup.
The Library is open from 9am -8pm Monday – Thursday, and from 9am-5pm on Friday and Saturday.
