Kirtland Public Library now provides access to the Northstar Digital Literacy technology assessments. These self-guided training and assessments were designed with the intent reduce the digital literacy divide, and help potential job seekers gain the basic technological literacy skills needed to seek, apply, and retain employment as well as an understanding for usage in daily life. After a simple registration, you can begin self training and examination in the following skills:
- Essential Computer Skills - Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, Windows OS, Mac OS
- Essential Software Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
- Using Technology in Daily Life - Social Media, Information Literacy, Career Search Skills, Supporting K-12 Distance Learning, Your Digital Footprint.
