Frank Kutner exhibits watercolors during the month of July in the Deloris C. Parsons Community Room at the Library. Frank finds inspiration in nature and surrealism. Vincent Van Gogh, Kathe Schmidt Kollwitz and Georgia O'Keefe express the visual sensitivity that Frank sees as caring romanitcism.
The DCP Community Room is open during regular Library hours: Monday - Thursday from 9am - 9pm and Friday-Saturday from 9am - 5pm.
Kirtland Kiwanis completed another project for the Library. We wanted to paint the Picture Book Room -- and needed to have all the books and shelves moved out. Rick Blum was Clerk of the Works and had logistics well in hand.
Kirtland High School alumni Don Rush has published a book, Deadly Pranks, and it is available at the Library.
Deadly Pranks is about four teenage boys from Kirtland, Ohio (Don being one of them), who pulled some innocent pranks on his neighbors and friends. As the story unfolds, the (fictitious) pranks become more evil and sinister, causing the father of two girls to have a heart attack. The plot proceeds where the two evil sisters capture and blindfold the boys, kidnap them, and keep them caged up in a barn in Kirtland.
